Water Efficiency for Business Customers

Water reviews are carried out by a Water Conservation Advisor at  your business premises. This service is currently free of charge. Specific advice is given on any initiatives identified during the visit that would help to reduce water consumption.

The Water Review provides advice on:

• Keeping accurate records of water consumption and making meaningful analysis to establish trends.
• Benchmarking of water use and setting realistic targets.
• Leak monitoring and detection.
• Reduction of domestic water consumption.
• Reduction of process water consumption.
• Prioritising efficiency initiatives to provide maximum savings with minimum payback periods. 
• Listing the improvements that would qualify the business for an award in South West Water's Water Efficiency Certification scheme.

Businesses which have made no attempt previously to save water can typically make savings of around 20% with little or no cost.  Some have achieved savings as high as 70% with payback periods as low as three months.

South West Water also works with various advisory bodies across the region to run joint seminars and workshops to assist water and energy efficiency, waste minimisation and recycling.
