If your development site currently has a public water main within it, a diversion may be required to allow your development to progress.

This section explains generally what will need to be done in order to connect a new development to our water supply service.

Before you start any work, you need to obtain our approval for your proposed plumbing systems.

This section deals with new water supplies for a single new property (or a small number of new properties which do not require a water main to be provided), for new properties arising from the conversion of an existing property and for an existing property which is to be connected to our water supply for the first time.

A new development site may be some distance from our nearest existing water main. Therefore, you will have to make provision for an off-site main to connect the mains within your development to our existing water mains system.

A water main is the pipe which distributes water from a service reservoir or treatment works to properties. These water mains are our responsibility.

This section deals with the service pipe which connects a property to our water main and our powers to determine its point of connection to our mains.
