Cullompton sewerage improvements

South West Water has started work on laying a new sewer between Court Farm, near the B3181 Willand Road and Duke Street to enable larger flows of sewage to be treated at the Cullompton Waste Water Treatment Works.

In addition, a total of three combined sewage overflows will also be modernised which will improve the quality of local watercourses. This work will be carried out following consultation with the Environment Agency.
The work commenced in late July and will be completed by the end of October 2000 at a total cost of £900,000.

The work is being carried out on South West Water's behalf by Dean and Dyball, a local contractor.
