WaterAid is the UK's specialist development charity working through partner organisations to help poor people in developing countries achieve sustainable improvements in their quality of life by improved domestic water supply, sanitation and associated hygiene practices

The organisation is the 'adopted charity' of the companies in the UK water industry, including South West Water, and receives charitable donations and event sponsorships.

Many of South West Water's customers contribute to the work of WaterAid through fundraising events or donations through the company's annual appeal.

South West Water has been supporting WaterAid for over 20 years and in that time staff and customers have raised more than £4 million for the charity
