'Clean Sweep' for Polperro Work has finished on the final phase of South West Water's £2 billion Clean Sweep programme at Polperro, near Looe.
Construction of the £5 million scheme, which includes a sewage screening station at Scilly Cove and a 330-metre pumped long-sea outfall, took over a year to complete. The scheme is designed to improve sea water quality and provide environmental protection to the area. You can find out more about how the scheme progressed by reading the PDF files, right. |
