We are increasing the number of customers on our social tariffs to help manage water bills across the region. We are dedicated to creating real change and are on track to deliver our industry-leading pledge to eradicate water poverty by 2025. We offer a range of support options and advice to help customers lower their water bills, including switching to a meter so customers only pay for the water they use, or signing up to an affordability tariff. We are expanding our customer support programmes with a package of £200m of support. This includes flexible payment options, increased financial assistance, and targeted outreach to vulnerable communities. Our goal is to ensure that all customers have access to the support to clean, safe water regardless of their financial situation.
We already have a range of support options in place to support our customers. We have already provided over £100m of support to customers this regulatory period. We are doubling the support in the next regulatory period, 2025 to 2030, to £200m.

If you're not already on a meter - one of the ways we can help is by offering you a water meter, so you only pay for the water you use. It also puts you in control of your water use so you can take steps to reduce your bill. Because we are confident that you’ll save money on a meter, you’ll automatically be given our Lowest Bill Guarantee. If you don’t save money in the first two years after your meter is installed, we’ll refund the difference between your metered and unmetered bill, and you can switch back at any time, You can apply for a water meter online.
