Delivering improvements through innovation

A groundbreaking alliance to deliver record investment

Introducing amplify

We’ve formed a major new alliance from some of the country’s best engineering companies to deliver service improvements better and faster.

The alliance, known as amplify, will deliver our 2025-30 major infrastructure plan worth £3.2bn. After a competitive tending process, we’ve selected experts in construction, consultancy, and engineering design to ensure projects provide quality, innovation and value for money.

The partnership will help drive investment into the local economy, creating around 2,000 new jobs through projects including upgraded treatment works and new reservoirs.

Work has already started on projects that will dramatically reduce use of storm overflows, maintain bathing water quality and strengthen water resilience.

Innovation

Without thinking in new ways, and coming up with new solutions, there is no progress. That’s why innovation is at the heart of all our plans for the future.

What does this mean for you?

You can be confident that works in your area will stand the test of time because they’re the result of experts working in collaboration. The main impact of amplify for customers will be in the outcomes – improved bathing water quality and a resilient supply of high-quality drinking water.

You might also spot the amplify logo on vans, uniforms and works signage in your area. It means the work is being delivered by a contractor from this combined resource that covers our different regions.
