How much water does an average person use?

In the UK, the average person in the UK from 2023-2024 used 136.8L per person per day. For South West Water and Bournemouth customers this is 153.1L so we need to encourage water saving where possible.

Your usage may vary depending on:

The appliances you use
Watering the garden, filling ponds, or washing cars
Home renovations or decorating
Having guests or family staying over

Can I get water-saving devices?

Yes. You can apply for free water-saving devices through the GetWaterFit, read more information on our Save Water page.

My water-saving device broke—can I get a new one?

You can order up to two devices per year (April–March) via the Save Water Save Money website. If your device is faulty, please contact them directly for support: Save Water Save Money Surprisingly easy

Do you still offer Hippo bags?
