Our plans for 2025 and beyond
South West Water remains dedicated to improving services in Exmouth. This page outlines current projects and future initiatives.
Our goal is to reduce storm overflow spills to improve water quality, targeting a maximum of ten spills per year per overflow by 2030, with only two spills in designated bathing waters during the bathing season.
We’re working on several projects in Exmouth and it’s surrounding areas to address spills in the area. To ensure our solutions are effective we need to survey the area, this helps us to understand the factors that cause overflows to be used.
Please be aware that the stated finish dates below are subject to factors such as planning and approvals that may affect the schedule.
We’ve been working on initiatives in this area that will help to improve local water quality and make the wastewater system more resilient. Some of these works are either complete or will be completed by summer 2025.
