Customer update - 26 May 2026
Improving your water supply and pressure
We’re aware that customers in areas including Nancledra, Trevethoe, Halsetown, Towednack and Cripplesease are experiencing ongoing issues with water supply interruptions and low pressure.
We’re very sorry for the disruption this has caused. We understand how frustrating and inconvenient this has been, and we want to reassure you that we are actively working to improve the situation.
What’s causing the issues?
The affected areas are connected across parts of our network, this means that when issues happen in one location, they can affect other locations.
Some customers may also have noticed cloudy or aerated water, this is typically caused by air in the supply following faults happening in the network and usually settles naturally. You can find more information on what to do if your water is cloudy here.
What we’re doing
We’ve already started work on several projects to make your water supply more reliable and reduce interruptions, including:
- Steeple Service Reservoir improvements: expected to be fully operational by 30 June 2026
- Towednack Pumping Station upgrades: Electrical safety improvements are due to be completed by 31 May 2026
- Network reconfiguration: Rerouting parts of the network into different supply zones to improve resilience and flexibility
We’re also carrying out further improvements across other parts of the network to help boost water pressure and reduce the chance of future outages.
In addition, we’re developing a longer-term plan to strengthen the network. This is currently being reviewed as part of our wider investment programme.
When will this be resolved?
We understand that you want to know when these issues will be fully resolved.
While we’re not yet able to confirm a specific timeframe, the work currently underway is designed to improve the situation and reduce the number of disruptions to your water supply. We will continue to monitor progress closely and keep this page updated.
