Leak in Gannel Road
Update - 29th September
We are working to repair a leak in Gannel Road in Newquay. The repair is complex, and to complete it safely, we are using temporary overland pipes to reroute final treated flows around the affected section of the network.
The Environment Agency has approved temporary discharges of treated flows into the River Gannel under permit. We are planning the repair carefully to minimise the impact on the environment and will continue to monitor conditions very closely.
Gannel Road will remain closed while we complete the repair. We apologise for any inconvenience to the community.
