Customer update - 27 May 2026
We are delighted to share that the works to the combined sewer and surface water pipework are now complete and operational at Hendra Road. All gulleys and highway pipework have been cleansed and are fully functional. Trench reinstatement was completed on 26th May 2026 and the blacktop will be laid on Wednesday 27th May 2026. The road will be fully reopen by Thursday 28th May 2026, subject to temperatures allowing the tarmac to dry.
We have also completed our investigative work at Kennall Vale. We found large amounts of debris in the pipework, and this has now been cleared.
We are carrying out CCTV surveys, and inflow and infiltration investigations for the next 12 weeks in Carnkie, Penmarth, Golden Lion, Stithians and Ponsanooth.
We are undergoing preliminary CCTV surveys in Foundry. We have been over pumping downstream of Foundry, and this temporary solution is coping well with flows. We will continue to do this until a permanent repair is complete.
