The declaration of severe drought might have given you concerns or questions you want to discuss with us. We’re holding community drop-ins so you can talk to our friendly team who can provide information and let you know about the support that’s on offer.
Working together to protect water supplies
At times like these, community is very important. You can help by saving water so there’s enough for essential use in the homes, schools, hospitals and businesses in your area. See our water-saving pages for ideas of how to use less water.
You can also help by checking in on vulnerable loved ones or neighbours to help them understand what’s happening and the support that’s available – for example, through our Priority Services Register.
What happens at a community drop-in?
You’ll be able to chat with our team members who can explain why the severe drought is happening, what we’ve done to avoid it, and how you can help to protect water supplies. They may have some water-saving devices to give out, maps to show or information boards that help you understand the situation better.
We know the situation is frustrating but please be respectful to our team members – they’re in the community to provide help and support.
